India Tree  Demerara Sugar

India Tree  Demerara Sugar is a Product of the Island of Mauritius, Africa.
These unrefined brown sugars come from the island of Mauritius, off the coast of Africa. The sugar milled on Mauritius retains much of the unique flavor of the cane, which grows there on rich volcanic ash.  This Demerara Sugar melts beautifully and is perfect for creme brulee or other pastry applications when you need a sugar to melt.  We like to use Demerara Sugar for Tarte Tatin.
